I wanna start working on my calendar ideas again, but these things keep coming and they're just so awesome. Maybe I'll make the calendar like a GIANT FACKING EPIC SKETCHDUMP. Except with sketches they'll be awesome arts. YOU KNOW YOU'D EAT THAT SHIT UP FOR BREAKFAST LUNCH AND DINNER.

So yeah. Just know that my muse is still barking orders at me military style, and I haven't given anything up and jesus, without Art I would be the most boreded person ever. I'd possibly go insane, too. Is this even healthy, guys?

On another note, it's time for a mild rant. Nothing bitchy or angry...well...er...maybe, not angry.

I'mma start by saying that I love DeviantArt. It's been my primary forum now for...what, the database says 4 years, but it's been longer. It had to have been longer. I've been here since...what, Sophomore year, and that's been....sheesh. I don't know, the years mesh. ANYWAY. I love this place.

What I don't love however, is how super awesome artists like , , , and much, MUCH, MUCH more aren't appreciated more. People like us spend so very, very long on original works; art and stories, characters, worlds for roleplaying and storymaking... People like us know every detail of every person we've every drawn, we've spent YEARS creating this all, and yet...where are we? I just recently made 6k views, and I've been here 4, almost five years. Saragato, 5 years, and 18 thou. Sure, that's a big jump. But get this. A Zelda fanartist who's been along also 5 years has...over a hundred thousand pagviews. Or take this other Zelda fanartist who's been here...A YEAR, and has 13,000 pageviews. A YEAR, people. That's more than twice mine, and almost getting up to Saragato's amount. This fanartist isn't even a GOOD one. There are lots of their kind. You know them. The ones that ruin your searches with poorly drawn fetish sex art. Fanfictions that are mary-sued up to hell and back.

My point is, what the hell is art anymore? What happened to originality? Is there ANYONE out there who appreciates originality when it DOESN'T come in the form is a naked woman with large breasts? Hell, she doesn't even need large breasts, there'll be a guy out there with an itty bitty kitty titty fetish.

Listen up fanartists- I appreciate the occasional piece of fanart, because I do it myself, and by no means am I CONDEMNING fanart. But when your ENTIRE GALLERY is full of it, you honestly aren't going anywhere in life. Fanartists, try something new! Experiment! TEST YOUR BOUNDARIES AND CROSS THEM. Bring creativity back to the artistic mind!
